Potain self-erecting tower cranes are a mainstay of the global construction industry and are steadily strengthening their growing reputation in the residential homebuilding market throughout North America.
Contractor Colombo Costruzioni, working on behalf of Italy’s leading real estate investment, development and management company COIMA SRG, has deployed two Potain top-slewing tower cranes – an MD 365 B L16 and an MD 208 A – for the construction of UBI Banca’s new headquarters, the GIOIA 22 skyscraper in the Porta Nuova district of Milan.
DP World Antwerp Gateway has ordered a fleet of 34 Automated Stacking Cranes (Konecranes Gottwald ARMGs) for its container terminal in Antwerp, Belgium. The cranes will be an expansion to the current fleet of 20 ARMGs currently in operation. The first batch will be delivered in Q2 2022, the last batch by 2026. This order was booked in December 2020.
The largest Liebherr material handling machine to be delivered in France to date, an LH 110 M Port Litronic, will be operated at the harbour of Villefranche-sur-Saône in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, near Lyon.
Konecranes has supplied a material handling system, incorporating an S-series crane, at ABB Limited’s Drives Service Workshop (DSW) in Coalville, Leicestershire. The contract represents the first installation of the new generation S-series model in the UK.
