In Nice’s Saint-Isidore eco-district six Potain cranes are constructing a new 54,275 m² mixed-used complex, consisting of a new 32,304 m² IKEA furniture store, surrounded by 16,675 m² of housing (289 units), 3,403 m² of offices and 3,403 m² of other retail space.
Spira Baugeräte und Schalungslogistik, based in Speyer Germany, recently added a new Potain MDT 569 to its rental fleet of 60 self-erecting and 50 top-slewing cranes. The formwork and construction equipment rental company has deployed the tower crane, which has a maximum capacity of 25 t and 4.2 t at the end of the 80 m jib, to help construct a new laboratory at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
Portland, Oregon-based NessCampbell Crane + Rigging, a longtime Manitowoc customer, put its new Grove GMK5250XL-1 all-terrain crane to work immediately after it was delivered in late September. The crane was the first of its kind to arrive in the Northwest, and it already has successfully completed a handful of jobs.

Utah-based Bronson Crane has purchased the first Potain Igo T 99 self-erecting crane in North America, underscoring the company’s reputation for introducing new Potain tower cranes to the market. Bronson Crane has been the top self-erecting crane dealer in the U.S. since 2011.
As part of its ongoing drive to strengthen its presence in Asia, Manitowoc has announced the appointment of G Machinery as its new distributor for Grove all-terrain cranes in Japan. Based in Tokyo, the company will provide sales and service support to customers across the country.

In the Nyerere National Park of Tanzania, 370 km southwest of the commercial capital Dar es Salaam, two Potain top-slewing cranes are supporting the construction of the new Julius Nyerere Hydropower Station, operated by Tanzania Electric Supply Company (TANESCO).
