BOMAG GmbH, founded in 1957 and headquartered in Boppard, Germany, is a world-leading manufacturer of compaction equipment and road construction machinery. The company’s product portfolio includes machines for soil, asphalt, and landfill compaction, as well as stabilizers, recyclers, cold planers, and pavers. Serving the construction and infrastructure sectors, BOMAG delivers high-performance solutions renowned for their durability, efficiency, and advanced technology. The company operates globally with subsidiaries and dealers in over 120 countries, supporting projects across urban development, highway construction, and environmental engineering. BOMAG is recognized for its commitment to innovation, particularly in digital construction technologies and sustainability.
The ROBOMAG BW 154 asphalt roller and ROBOMAG BW 177 single drum roller are the technology platforms on which all subsystems required on the road to fully autonomous operation are tested and developed.
BOMAG is expanding its machine portfolio with the RS 250 and RS 300 tractor-towed stabilizers, which have a working width of 2.5 m and a milling depth of up to 40 cm and 50 cm respectively. The tractor-towed stabilizers are optimally designed for flexible use in soil stabilization and road and path construction. The power-packed machines are driven by the rear PTO shaft of a powerful tractor with 200-300 hp or 300-450 hp. Tractor-towed stabilizers are a new addition to BOMAG's product range. Their design is based on numerous tried-and-tested technologies and many years of experience in the field.
Tamper or vibratory plate? Isn’t there a third option? There sure is! BOMAG's new BR 95 vibratory plate is the ideal combination of efficiency and manoeuvrability. Agile and easy to handle, it excels in earthworks wherever flush compaction is required in the smallest of spaces, such as close to building walls, posts or in cable and pipe trenches. This is made possible by a square base plate with rounded corners and a machine design as slim as it is ergonomic. With the all-round 360-degree guide handle, the operator has the machine firmly in their grip in any situation – and with low vibration for fatigue-free working.
Since mid-July, MAKO S.A. has been BOMAG's new trading and service partner for Luxembourg. The company, with its branches in Bettembourg and Roost, is available to customers and interested parties throughout the Luxembourg region as a contact point for BOMAG's entire product portfolio from compaction technology and planers through to road pavers.
This year's iF DESIGN AWARD goes to BOMAG, making the company one of the winners of this world-renowned design prize. BOMAG’s fully autonomous tandem roller ROBOMAG, which was developed as a technology study, received the award in the category “Professional Concept”. The iF DESIGN AWARD is a prestigious prize issued once a year by iF International Forum Design GmbH in Hanover, one of the oldest independent design institutions in the world.
