Liebherr MK 88 Plus mobile construction crane in Rotterdam: cost-effective and quiet continuous operation using site power

A Liebherr MK 88 Plus mobile construction crane from Dutch crane hire company Boekestijn was in operation for three months in Rotterdam for the construction of a new plant for recycling asphalt material. Noteworthy: the flexible crane operated continuously in site power mode on the construction site in the Dutch port metropolis.

Liebherr restores a 60-year-old wheel loader prototype: The LSL 1500

Almost 60 years after its début, Liebherr has restored one of the first wheel loader prototypes from the corporate group’s early years: the LSL 1500. This specimen is the oldest preserved Liebherr wheel loader in existence. Liebherr has invested about 650 working hours in the restoration of the vintage loader which is now used as an exhibition piece in the Liebherr Bischofshofen factory.

Liebherr Mining and VA Erzberg: an innovative partnership

At Bauma 2019, VA Erzberg and Liebherr have concluded a development contract for a Trolley assist system for the T 236 (100t mining truck). Since then the iron ore mine has been testing the diesel-electric truck in Austria. The truck was modified to operate with an overhead line connected through a current collector with bars on a 500 m long test track. The groundbreaking ceremony for the extended 5 km trolley line took place on September 29, 2020.

The Liebherr-France SAS development and production site launches a new machine on the global market: As a successor to the R 944 C, the R 940 Demolition complements the product range, which already includes the R 950 Demolition and the R 960 Demolition.

LR 1800-1.0: First job in wind farm

Colonia Spezialfahrzeuge has received a new Liebherr crawler crane LR 1800-1.0. The Cologne-based company mainly intended to use its new purchase in industry and plant construction as well as for bridge hoists. However, this modern crawler crane first had to tackle a job in a wind farm.
