Zoomlion's High-end Tower Cranes Are First Exported to Slovenia - Marking a New Phase of Zoomlion's Entry into the European Market

Days ago, tower cranes in aurora green were found in a development located in beautiful Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia. The appearance of aurora green, a sign for Zoomlion, means that Zoomlion tower cranes have officially entered the Slovene market, which also signifies that Zoomlion has made a new breakthrough in introducing its tower cranes into the European market.

Zoomlion's High-end Tower Cranes Are First Exported to Slovenia - Marking a New Phase of Zoomlion's Entry into the European Market

"Zoomlion T7020-12H tower cranes, used in this project, are the first exports from our company to Slovenia," said Li Zongshan from Zoomlion Construction Hoisting Machinery Company (Europe).

In recent years, the European market for tower cranes is booming. To have a bigger share of the European high-end tower crane market, Zoomlion built the CIFA European platform in 2019 for the development of its tower crane business in the EU region. Through unremitting efforts, Zoomlion has established a relationship of cooperation with the Slovenia's biggest lessor of tower cranes, hence its tower cranes formally entering the local market.

According to some sources, the customer gradually placed trust in Zoomlion and finally chose its products after having kept in contact with Zoomlion for one year and comprehensively known its products.

Manufactured by adopting Germany's JOST flat-head technology and three major mechanisms for full frequency conversion, the T7020-12H tower crane, a highly intelligent small and medium-sized flat-head tower crane as a star product of Zoomlion, features high operation stability, small impact and high reliability. The product with a maximum hoisting load of 12 t and a maximum arm end hoisting load of 2 t completely meets the requirements of hoisting steel bars and prefabricated blocks used in the construction of residential buildings.

In Europe, high labor costs are one of customers' major considerations. The T7020-12H tower crane with the one-piece tenon type standard joint of strong stability needs fewer routine checks and maintenance operations, hence reducing labor costs. In addition, the T7020-12H tower crane has been satisfactorily utilized in Israel for approximately three years, which helps bolster customers' confidence in this product.

Zoomlion's success in penetrating the Slovene market this time is also the result of Zoomlion's European team and CIFA company pulling together. The construction on the Slovene site was still underway this March, which witnessed the global outbreak of the coronavirus. Under the agreement between Zoomlion and the customer, Zoomlion was demanded to deliver the T7020-12H tower cranes to the construction site as scheduled.

"For this, we launched a delivery campaign 'against time'. The T7020-12H tower cranes were to be delivered from Italy, but a total lockdown in Italy had been issued. Nevertheless, the Zoomlion’s CIFA European team worked together, actively coordinated the work of relative parties, and finally had the permit for the shipment of T7020-12H tower cranes issued," said Li Zongshan.

At the same time, Zoomlion acted strictly in line with the requirements on work commencement time and pandemic control of the local government and relevant departments in Slovenia. "The number of personnel for on-site transshipment and installation was under strict control, and they were protected with proper protective materials and required to keep a safe distance from each other. At last, the equipment arrived at the site and was successfully installed. Also, we received high praise from the customer," said Andrea, a regional manager responsible for Zoomlion’s CIFA European tower crane business.

“"Based on its good experience acquired by cooperating with us, the customer ordered a few more T6515-8KC tower cranes not long ago. At present, we are in close touch with the customer. We believe that, just as we have seen during the course of the cooperation between this customer and our company, the entry of the Slovene market will serve as a driving force to bring more products to European high-end markets and expand the market for tower cranes without cease," said Li Zongshan.
