The main structure is now complete at SANY Global Construction Machinery R&D Center in Kunshan, China, with the top sealing works done. When completed, it will be one of the largest single R&D building in China.

On the afternoon of 25th August, the delivery ceremony of Sany’s large Ship-to-Shore Container Crane STS454701 to Latvian customer Baltic Container Terminal Ltd. (BCT) was successfully conducted at the port of Riga.

In 2016, the ground preparation work of Rooppur nuclear power plant commenced in Rooppur, on the bank of the river Padma, 160 kilometers west of the capital, Dhaka. Undertaken by world-leading nuclear power EPC ASE, the project is a pressurized water reactor facility consisting of two units of VVER-1200 reactors with an output of 2.4GW. Bangladesh plans to produce 9% of its electricity from the plants, lowering the country’s dependence on fossil fuels by the middle of the next decade. It will take a few years for the plants to start operations, with the first unit scheduled in 2023 and the second in 2024.

Five SANY excavators, including two SY750Hs, two SY500Hs, one SY215C, and one SRT95C rigid-body mining truck, were recently delivered to customers from two large coal mines in Indonesia.

SANY Port Machinery delivered two heavy-duty forklift trucks to one of its key accounts in Saudi Arabia, who engages in oil exploitation. It was a remarkable moment for it marked SANY’s first participation in local oil&gas projects.
