Thomson to bring advanced linear motion expertise to Bauma 2022

Thomson Industries, Inc., a leading manufacturer of linear motion control solutions, will be attending Bauma 2022 in Munich, Germany, from October 24-30. Bauma is the world's largest trade show for building material machines, mining machines, and construction machinery, vehicles and equipment.

Thomson's extensive line of electric linear actuators, which are a cleaner, safer and more efficient alternative to hydraulic cylinders, are well suited for a diverse range of heavy duty applications, including construction and agricultural equipment.

Thomson linear motion experts will be available throughout the show to help design engineers find the optimal solution to their most demanding mobile machine applications.

Thomson’s vast portfolio of industry leading electric linear actuators, including its popular Electrak^® and Max Jac^® lines, are efficient alternatives to hydraulic cylinders in a broad range of applications. These components offer a high-power, zero-maintenance solution that is simpler, cleaner and more controllable than their hydraulic counterparts.

Thomson smart actuators also feature embedded flexible onboard controls, including optional, built-in CAN bus support, which connects an electronic control unit (ECU) with only a few wires. Leveraging this capability are built-in microprocessors that can be programmed to report position, provide diagnostic feedback that improves performance, and handle complex functions like synchronising multiple actuators.

In addition to focusing on hydraulic alternatives, Thomson engineers will also bring extensive experience in customising linear actuators to meet unique customer needs.

Thomson representatives will be on hand at stand 6261 in hall C4 – as part of the US pavilion – alongside Altra Industrial Motion Inc. to discuss linear motion users’ application and customisation needs.
