HITACHI CONSTRUCTION MACHINERY TO BEGIN ACCEPTING ORDERS FOR ZAXIS-7G SERIES HYDRAULIC EXCAVATORS IN SOUTHEAST ASIAN MARKET

Hitachi Construction Machinery Group has introduced the latest ZAXIS-7 series hydraulic excavator models in the European, Japanese, and North American markets.

HITACHI CONSTRUCTION MACHINERY TO BEGIN ACCEPTING ORDERS FOR ZAXIS-7G SERIES HYDRAULIC EXCAVATORS IN SOUTHEAST ASIAN MARKET

Hitachi Construction Machinery will gradually begin accepting orders for four models of medium and large hydraulic excavators in the ZAXIS-7G series (ZX350-7G, ZX490-7G, ZX690-7G, and ZX890-7G) in Southeast Asian countries from February 2024.

Since demand for higher quality products and services has been increasing in the Southeast Asian market as well, Hitachi Construction Machinery decided to market ZAXIS-7G series machines as new models for Southeast Asia.

As a first step, the company will begin accepting orders from late February 2024 in the Kingdom of Thailand ("Thailand"). Thereafter, Hitachi Construction Machinery will gradually begin accepting orders in other Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Myanmar. Demand is expected to come from general urban civil engineering work, as well as large-scale public works projects, quarries, and mining sites.

Main features
1. Lower fuel consumption and running costs
The existing hydraulic system and pump control on the ZX350-7G have been improved to enhance hydraulic efficiency. The ZX490-7G, ZX690-7G, and ZX890-7G are equipped with the latest HIOS-V hydraulic system, which helps to improve hydraulic efficiency and reduce fuel consumption. On all models, the appropriate work mode can be selected according to the site and work type. In addition, an ECO gauge is displayed on the monitor in the cab to support fuel-efficient operations and contribute to lower fuel consumption and life cycle costs.

2. "ConSite Air" service solution enables remote machine condition diagnosis and software updates
By utilizing over-the-air (OTA) communication, "ConSite Air" enables remote monitoring of the machine condition, such as displayed error codes and sensor data, for hydraulic excavators. Such information can be used to make preliminary judgments, whose results can lead to improvements in the efficiency of machine recovery and in the support provided to operators. In addition, with the ability to remotely update the software of the hydraulic excavator's controller and communication terminal, the efficiency of the update process is greatly improved. Machine condition diagnosis and software updates, which were previously performed separately for each individual machine by service personnel visiting the site, can now be carried out more quickly.

3. Improved safety with "AERIAL ANGLE" peripheral vision system and other options
Safety during machine operation is improved with the "AERIAL ANGLE" system, which uses a monitor inside the cab to display a 270-degree bird's-eye image of the surrounding area along with an image of the area behind the machine. Guidelines indicating the distance between the machine and surrounding objects can be displayed on the camera images to provide a better understanding of the surroundings. The operator can change the camera images and set whether to display the guidelines according to the type of work and the operator's preferences. Furthermore, handrails added at the top of the machine body contribute to improved safety when the machine is lifted and lowered for inspection and maintenance.
