Konecranes to deliver third mobile harbor crane to South Australia

In March 2020, Flinders Port Holdings (Flinders) ordered an eco-efficient Konecranes Gottwald Model 6 Mobile Harbor Crane for their subsidiary Flinders Logistics at Port Adelaide in South Australia. With delivery planned for August 2020, the crane will increase capacity in bulk materials and cargo handling services.

ECOL - Liebherr awarded certificate to provide training for the European crane operators licence

In March, the training centre at Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH was awarded a certificate, which officially enables it to train crane operators for the new European Crane Operators Licence (ECOL). The certification company, Lloyd’s Register, had first checked that Liebherr could provide the required training and whether the training centre met the high standards. The first three mobile crane operators have since taken and passed the examination with Liebherr.

Konecranes and Fluidmesh join forces to deliver world-first 100% wireless Automated Rubber Tired Gantry (ARTG) crane system

Konecranes and Fluidmesh Networks announce that they have joined forces and successfully carried out proof-of-concept testing of fully wireless communication for the Konecranes Automated RTG system. This breakthrough allows container terminal operators to roll out remote control and automation to RTGs in the container yard without running fiber or cable spools, with substantial savings in cost and time.

More Konecranes BOXHUNTER RTGs to Vietnam

Konecranes has won another order from Ben Nghe Port in Vietnam for two BOXHUNTER RTG cranes. The cranes will be delivered in cooperation with Telin Group JSC in April of 2021. The order was booked in March 2020.
