The new Cat® trolley assist system for Cat electric drive mining trucks is now available for mining operations seeking a means to reduce carbon emissions, lower fuel and engine costs, and boost speed-on-grade for greater productivity. The Cat trolley assist retrofit kit is currently available for the 795F AC truck, and the trolley design is compatible with the three other Cat electric-drive mining trucks—794 AC, 796 AC and 798 AC.

Komatsu approves Continental EM-Master for Dash 8 Wheel Loader Series
The Japanese manufacturer of construction, mining, forestry and military equipment Komatsu recently approved the Continental EM-Master tires, both in E3/L3 and E4/L4 version for use in applications with different ground conditions. Starting January 2020, customers in Europe are able to select the Continental radial tires in the sizes 20.5 R25, 23.5 R25, 26.5 R25 or 29.5 R25 if they buy one of the Komatsu Dash 8 Wheel Loader Series (WA270-8, WA320-8, WA380-8, WA470-8, WA-480-8, WA500-8).

Konecranes wins order for 20 RTG cranes in Nigeria
Konecranes has won an order for 20 RTG cranes from APMT’s West Africa Container Terminal in East Nigeria. The order was booked in two parts, the first in December 2019 and the second in January 2020. Delivery is scheduled for Q4 2020 – Q2 2021.

Demag CC 3800-1 lifts bridge element
Time was the decisive factor for this lift: Crane service provider Wiesbauer had exactly 100 hours to lift, on behalf of Metzingen-based construction company Gottlob Brodbeck, a reinforced concrete bridge element for a railroad overpass in Rottenburg-Kiebingen in Southern Germany. Since the crane had to move under load, which weighed over 400 tonnes, the company decided to use the Demag® CC 3800-1 crawler crane, which not only had the needed lifting capacity, but also the required level of reliability.
