Terminal Flavio Gioia S.p.A. (TFG) has ordered two eco-efficient Konecranes Gottwald Mobile Harbor Cranes for its terminal in Naples, bolstering its material handling capacity to keep up with demand.

Konecranes has received a Gold rating from EcoVadis for its ambitious sustainability work, its highest-ever placing. The company’s actions, policies and reporting put it in the top 4% of all rated companies globally, and it is in the top 1% of its general-purpose machinery peers.

Belgium’s Goeyvaerts-R bvba (Goeyvaerts) has ordered two new eco-efficient Generation 6 Konecranes Gottwald Mobile Harbor Cranes for their growing rental fleet across ports in the Netherlands and Belgium. The order, booked in July, will be handed over in November 2021.

Konecranes will supply cranes to one of the world’s largest Waste-to-Energy (WtE) plants in Dubai. The contract, booked in December 2020, underscores Konecranes’ commitment to helping customers and industries grow and transform so they run more efficiently, sustainably, and safely. The cranes will be delivered to the site in 2022, with handover in 2024.

LOGISTEC Stevedoring Inc (LOGISTEC), a dry bulk terminal operator at the Port of Montreal, Canada, has ordered an eco-efficient Konecranes Gottwald Model 7 Mobile Harbor Crane to improve their technology and eco-efficiency in material handling. The order was booked in June 2021. The crane will be delivered in October and used to handle dry bulk cargo such as scrap metal.

Konecranes has won an order to deliver three of its new eco-efficient Generation 6 Konecranes Gottwald cranes to Super Terminais Comercio e Industria Ltda (Super Terminais) in Brazil.

Konecranes has won a contract with South Carolina Ports to supply 12 Rubber Tire Gantry (RTG) retrofit hybrid power packs, a milestone contract for new technology that offers significant carbon emission reductions and lower operating costs – without compromising performance.

Since 2019, Konecranes have regularly introduced a range of enhancements for safety and productivity in their Lifetime Advantage program.

In October 2020, Piraeus Container Terminal S.A. (PCT), a subsidiary of COSCO, ordered two empty container handlers and one forklift from Konecranes to boost their fleet capacity at the Port of Piraeus, the main sea port of Athens, and the largest port in Greece.
