Konecranes has won an order for 20 RTG cranes from APMT’s West Africa Container Terminal in East Nigeria. The order was booked in two parts, the first in December 2019 and the second in January 2020. Delivery is scheduled for Q4 2020 – Q2 2021.

Time was the decisive factor for this lift: Crane service provider Wiesbauer had exactly 100 hours to lift, on behalf of Metzingen-based construction company Gottlob Brodbeck, a reinforced concrete bridge element for a railroad overpass in Rottenburg-Kiebingen in Southern Germany. Since the crane had to move under load, which weighed over 400 tonnes, the company decided to use the Demag® CC 3800-1 crawler crane, which not only had the needed lifting capacity, but also the required level of reliability.
John Deere expands the L-Series Wheel Loader lineup with four new utility models, the 444L, 644L, 644L Hybrid and 724L. Manitowoc has unveiled its latest crawler crane: the Manitowoc MLC150-1. It is the latest in a line of crawler cranes that have been very successful in North America, especially for their competitive load charts and job site maneuverability. It will be on display at CONEXPO 2020 in March, and it’s one of six brand-new cranes that the company is showing this year, along with several others making their North American debuts.
