Container Terminal St. Petersburg orders 2 STS cranes from Konecranes

Container Terminal St. Petersburg (CTSP) has ordered two Konecranes Ship-to-Shore cranes, continuing a relationship that dates back to 2008. When the new cranes are in service, CTSP will operate a fleet of 6 Konecranes STSs and 24 Konecranes RTGs. The order was booked in December 2020.

Demag AC 1000-9 lifts 100-tonne tunnel-boring machine in Mumbai

GAJRAJ – that is the name written on the boom of the Demag® AC 1000-9 owned by Indian crane service provider Steel Carriers, and it is impossible to miss it. “The name means ‘king of the elephants,’ which is what our employees decided to call our AC 1000-9 due to the fact that it’s the biggest and only telescopic crane of its type in all of India. And when you really think about it, the name makes perfect sense,” explains Sunil Makad, owner of both Steel Carriers and the “King of Elephants,” which recently got to show its proverbial strength while lifting a tunnel-boring machine in Mumbai.

Konecranes brings mobile harbor crane technology to new customer in Georgia

In the third quarter of 2020, Transford LLC (Transford) ordered two eco-efficient Konecranes Gottwald Portal Harbor Cranes for their operations in Poti on the southwestern coast of Georgia by the Black Sea. With delivery and commissioning planned for the end of 2021, the cranes will handle both containers and bulk materials.
